The Best Rooftops in Lisbon!

Enjoy stunning river views and relax on beautiful terraces, perfect for sipping cocktails and savoring unforgettable moments above the city.

Mona Verde is a real urban jungle with a covered area for rainy days. With panoramic views over the city, it is located on the terrace of a building on one of the capital's most emblematic streets, Castilho. The menu is a delightful combination of flavours and ingredients from southern Europe and Latin America, worked into different dishes and meals for different times of the day. Focused on offering experiences beyond gastronomy, Mona Verde also puts together events, especially musical ones.

Insider tip. The entrance is semi-hidden. Take note: it's at the top of a flight of stairs, to the left of the União de Associações do Comércio e Serviços.

Located on the Torel Palace Lisbon terrace, the Black Pavilion restaurant is a garden in the middle of the city with panoramic views of the city centre. From the kitchen led by chef Vítor Matos come uncomplicated and comforting dishes with a touch of elegance. Examples are the veal tartar with truffle, the fresh cod pil-pil with chickpeas, or the sirloin steak with a choice of sauces – we recommend "à Cervejeiro".

Insider tip. In addition to the terrace, there is also an indoor winter garden, perfect for a meal or snack.

Ideal for letting ideas run free, it’s located on top of the old CTT building, next to Mercado da Ribeira, which was created to cement Pierre d’Andrimont and Margaux Marcy as central figures in Lisbon's restoration. With a fabulous view over the river, the bridge and the south bank, Javá is the party that its name suggests. Blue velvets, plants, geometric mosaic tables and high stools are ready to host weekend dinners and brunches.

Tip: Every three months there are pop-up dinners with guest chefs, Thursdays and Fridays, starting at 5:00 pm.
